Touch and Flow

So yeah, I think coffee is a diuretic. It has other magical properties, of course, but it does cause the body to pass more urine…

(Dang, only two sentences in and I’ve already used the word ‘urine’.)

(Twice.)

Ten years ago my friend David Slivken posted something on Facebook about tying shoelaces. It was life changing. Since childhood I have tied my shoes a certain away, but that posting suggested I loop my laces the opposite direction and in doing so my laces would stay tied all day. I tried it, it worked, and I have tied my shoes that way ever since. I will often think about Dave while tying them. Thank you, Dave.

I digress.

It snowed Friday night so I put on my hiking boots before my walk with Bruce in the morning. It was cold so I double knotted them — yes, even though I tied them my #newnormal way. My boots have a thicker lace and I didn’t want to have to take my gloves off mid-walk should the laces become undone. I just wanted to be sure.

I digress again.

We went to Wisecup on Lake to get coffee. Bruce is naturally caffeinated so he’s careful not to overdo it.

“Ok,” said Bruce. “Can I get a large latte, but with one shot caffeinated and one decaffeinated?”
