Cranberries, Butterflies

Thanksgiving is over and you’re probably creating Turkey Stir-fry or inventing Mashed Potato crisps. We still have two sealed containers of cranberry sauce; the fresh stuff from Trader Joe’s — which if you don’t know, is the BEST. At home we hoard it and freeze it for later. Here in Florida we got 5 of them to spread out over our stay. (Yes, it’s that good.) Nola wanted 6, but I had to put my foot down somewhere.

Me: Sweetie, 5 is already too much. 6 is crazypants. We need to let other people have some.

Nola: Fine.

Nola is all about living her best life and acquiring new experiences — beyond consuming copious amounts of cranberry sauce. Having already been to the beach twice she wanted to see what else was out here in the greater Ft Lauderdale area. She looked up Butterfly World on her phone.

Nola: It’s $33 a person.

Me:

Nola: It’s $33 a person.

Me: Do you get to eat them?

Nola: Da-AD!
