I’m 50 years old. Going out on New Year’s Eve sucks. Everything is crowded, loud, and expensive. And in Chicago, by default, it’s cold. Bah!

But Pam, my wife, LOVES New Year’s. To her it’s the bittersweet ending of one thing and the glorious beginning of another all wrapped up in the same minute.
