A Modest Question
Went to curriculum night last night. It’s that thing where you sit in tiny blue chairs* in front of tiny tables as the teachers talk about being a nut-free society and how many hours of art and gym there will be. They also talked about some of the things they’re already discussing in the classroom.

So this week and next we’ll be talking about bullying and how- yes?

I saw the flyer in my son’s folder last night.
Teacher
Great, so if you can- yes?
Me
How hard should we be bullying our children at home?
Teacher
Excuse me?
Me
I know it just said practice, but should we be name-calling and just poking? Or should we be pushing them, too? Like to the ground and stuff?
